If you are just applying for a passport in your home country and are wondering how to correctly spell your name in English, remember this one tip.
If you have a long name or a long last name that consists of multiple words, try to spell them as separate words. Spelling all words as one word will make it very confusing and even impossible for anyone in English to read or remember your name.
For example, if your last name in Farsi is Hashemitehrani, please spell them as two separate words (Hashemi Tehrani). This way, you will make it easier for English speakers, or anyone unfamiliar with Farsi, to read your last name.
The same rule applies to first names as well.
